About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Coordinator to join our team on a parental leave cover. As a Technical Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our garment and textile production processes. You will work closely with various teams, including design, production, and quality control, to ensure the technical aspects of our products meet the required standards and specifications.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a technical role within the garment and textile industry.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and grading techniques.
  • Proficiency in creating and interpreting technical specifications and drawings.
  • Excellent understanding of fabric properties, performance, and testing methods.
  • Ability to conduct fit sessions and provide technical guidance.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as CAD and PLM systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the design team to understand technical requirements and provide input on garment construction and material selection.
  • Create and maintain technical specifications, including detailed drawings, measurements, and grading information.
  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure accurate interpretation and execution of technical specifications.
  • Conduct fit sessions and provide technical guidance to pattern makers and sample machinists.
  • Evaluate garment samples and identify potential issues related to fit, construction, and quality.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure garments meet the required standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in garment technology and construction techniques.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams and external partners.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a comprehensive technical library.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during the production process and provide effective solutions.
