About The Position

Northland Controls is seeking an experienced Technical Controller to join our team in Singapore. This role will oversee financial reporting, compliance, and financial operations across the APAC region while supporting strategic business decision-making and ensuring alignment with global and regional accounting standards. Key Responsibilities Ensure the accuracy and integrity of internal and external financial reporting and maintain compliance with applicable financial standards Lead the month-end close process, including account reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of financial statements Oversee group consolidation and financial reporting across APAC regional entities Prepare and present financial analyses, forecasts, and key insights to support executive-level decision-making Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, bankers, vendors, and insurance providers Supervise, mentor, and develop the APAC Regional Senior Accounting team Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and recommend improvements to drive business performance Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and financial systems, leveraging SAP Business One and/or NetSuite Manage regional working capital and cash flow Lead operational improvement initiatives within the finance function Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements Perform additional duties as directed by the Finance Director

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA certification (required)
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience preferred
  • Experience with SAP or NetSuite preferred
  • Construction industry accounting experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and regional teams
  • Lead, mentor, and develop regional accounting staff
  • Oversee training, performance management, and career development
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in Singapore.

Responsibilities
