About The Position

We’re looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, creative addition to our Product and Marketing team to join our growing team in Boston (Somerville office right in the heart of Boynton Yards off Union Square). We’d like you to own the technical documentation as well as product documentation that’s customer-facing, engaging, and be a cross functional stakeholder in how Topsort presents its documentation to developers, customers, and general industry. Craft Customer-Facing Documentation – Own and enhance all Topsort customer-facing documentation, from developer docs, changelogs to knowledge base, from API documentation to case studies, from website copy to email sequences. Tell the Story of our Product and Technology – Go beyond traditional documentation—weave a compelling narrative that not only informs but also captivates users, making their learning experience seamless and enjoyable. Collaborate with teammates and experts – Work closely with developers, engineers, product teams and even external industry experts to deeply understand the technology and translate it into well-structured, easy-to-follow documentation. At Topsort, we believe in community based approach to develop docs and documentation as marketing. Keep the Story Fresh – Ensure all documentation evolves with our product, staying up to date with the latest features, changes, and improvements. Maintain clarity, consistency, and usability across all materials, ensuring that Topsort’s documentation stands out in both accuracy and engagement.

Requirements

  • A strong STEM background and product experience, preferably Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Philosophy.
  • A creative portfolio that showcases your best work, including writing samples, presentations, video demos, or podcasts.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in marketing, technical documentation, product, or entrepreneurial endeavors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt communication across different audiences and empathize with them.
  • Fearless attitude with the ability to dive into the unknown and quickly learn about new topics.

Responsibilities

  • Own and enhance all Topsort customer-facing documentation.
  • Craft developer docs, changelogs, knowledge base, API documentation, case studies, website copy, and email sequences.
  • Weave a compelling narrative that informs and captivates users.
  • Collaborate with developers, engineers, product teams, and external industry experts.
  • Ensure all documentation evolves with the product and stays up to date.
  • Maintain clarity, consistency, and usability across all materials.
