As a Technical Consulting Director, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) in our Washington, DC office, you’ll help design the global foundations that protect people, strengthen governance, and ensure new office locations launch safely and efficiently. Your work will define how EHS functions across countries, cultures, and regulatory landscapes—and set the standard for operational excellence worldwide. What Your Impact Is You’ll help architect how EHS operates at scale by: Translating local regulatory requirements into global standards and launch playbooks. Developing and implementing the systems, workflows, and governance that make global programs consistent and auditable. Modernizing EHS operations through tooling, automation, and AI‑enabled workflows. Partnering across Workplace, Real Estate, HR, Legal, IT, Corporate Security, and global site leads to keep teams aligned and moving efficiently. Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in EHS program management, compliance, global operations, or safety systems in multi‑site environments (corporate/tech preferred).
  • Proven experience scaling programs across countries or regions, including translating regulations into global frameworks.
  • Strong systems mindset with the ability to design workflows, governance models, and tooling that support consistency and auditability.
  • Experience implementing or administering EHS management systems or related platforms (incidents, audits, actions, training, inspections, analytics).
  • Comfort partnering with technical teams to build automation and AI‑enabled workflows with clear guardrails and quality controls.
  • Strong communication, cross‑functional leadership, and execution abilities in fast-moving environments.
  • Ability to travel 10–20%.

  • Certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHMM, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Global Expansion & Regulatory Alignment Lead EHS readiness for new international corporate office launches, ensuring early identification and integration of safety requirements.
  • Translate local regulations into standardized EHS controls, templates, and implementation plans aligned with ISO 45001.
  • Build scalable global compliance frameworks across multiple countries (e.g., workplace safety, incident reporting, emergency preparedness, ergonomics).
  • Maintain a global requirements tracker and support ongoing regulatory intelligence efforts.
  • EHS Systems, Tech Stack & Governance Help select, implement, and optimize the global EHS safety management system (SMS) and supporting platforms (training, inspections, incidents, corrective actions, dashboards).
  • Define and maintain core program standards: taxonomy, role‑based access, audit trails, metrics, reporting cadence, and documentation governance.
  • Build and maintain repeatable workflows connecting EHS systems to business processes such as onboarding, vendor management, service tickets, and site launch checklists.
  • Ensure all global EHS documentation is accurate, consistent, and usable across regions.
  • Automation, AI Enablement & Operational Scale Build and maintain AI‑enabled workflows and internal EHS “agents” to accelerate tasks such as requirement summaries, site plans, training outlines, documentation standardization, FAQs, and inspection templates.
  • Ensure all tooling aligns with privacy, governance, and information security requirements by partnering closely with IT/Security and Legal.
  • Drive adoption through training, documentation, and change‑management support.
  • Program Management & Cross‑Functional Delivery Lead multi‑workstream execution across global partners, managing timelines, risks, dependencies, and key decisions.
  • Create scalable playbooks for site launches, including EHS minimum standards, readiness scoring, launch checklists, and post‑launch verification processes.
  • Support program reporting by developing dashboards, executive‑ready summaries, and continuous improvement recommendations.
