Our Sustainable Operations team provides highly innovative services across the full breadth of EHS advisory areas such as sustainability auditing, information solutions, safety programs, compliance and management systems, training, and corporate reporting. As part of the continued growth and innovation of our Sustainable Operations team, ERM has an opportunity for an experienced leader to join our global consulting firm as a Technical Director to provide technical leadership and mentoring. We will consider strong candidates based in Indianapolis, Indiana.

  • Primary focus on EHS Industry relationships and world class delivery of services that are of value to our clients.
  • Developing and deploying EHS compliance solutions and management systems.
  • Delivering Air, water, and solid waste permitting, compliance, and performance improvement.
  • Developing and leading EHS audit programs.
  • Integrating ESG drivers into EHS management systems, compliance and audits.
  • Ability and willingness to listen to clients to truly understand their needs, and then co-develop novel solutions to address these needs.
  • Mentor a high-performance team, serving as a technical leader to consultants.
  • Relevant academic background in science, engineering, safety, environmental management, or related degree.
  • 8-12+ years (15+ years preferred) of progressive EHS and team supervisory experience in EHS corporate environments.
  • Solid understanding of environmental regulations with a strong track record of strategy and tactical regulatory compliance and permitting, as well as innovation in EHS compliance (e.g., management systems, auditing) and operationalizing sustainability goals.
  • Passionate about EHS performance improvement and possess substantial experience in developing and delivering world-class EHS program solutions.
  • In-depth understanding of client needs, including existing relationships.
