The Channel's founding Technical Board Members include former government leaders and IT executives passionate about bringing best-of-breed technology to the government. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Consultant to join our team! The Technical Consultant will support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing administration of Microsoft 365 and Power Platform services in a large corporate or government environment. This role requires deep technical expertise across M365 workloads, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, architecture, security, QA, and development teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable cloud solutions. Key Responsibilities The Technical Consultant will support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing administration of Microsoft 365 and Power Platform services in a large corporate or government environment. This role requires deep technical expertise across M365 workloads, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, architecture, security, QA, and development teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable cloud solutions.

  • Implement, configure, and manage Microsoft 365 and Power Platform solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting for M365 services, Power Platform applications, and AvePoint solutions.
  • Automate routine administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
  • Support SharePoint Online administration, including site configuration, permissions, integrations, and governance.
  • Manage user permissions, compliance configurations, retention policies, and data protection settings.
  • Monitor and maintain Dataverse environments, ensuring performance, security, and resource optimization.
  • Configure and maintain Power Platform environments, including environment creation, DLP policies, and lifecycle management.
  • Support users experiencing issues with PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate, Copilot, and M365 applications.
  • Monitor M365 service health and ensure adherence to organizational retention and governance policies.
  • Support OneDrive operations, including backup, retention, recovery, and automation scenarios.
  • Prepare technical documentation, FAQs, knowledge articles, and training materials to support end users.
  • Conduct POCs, pilot testing, and evaluations of new M365 and Power Platform tools and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance M365 service delivery, security, and user experience.
  • Participate in incident management, responding to and resolving Priority 1–4 tickets within established SLAs.
  • At least 5 years supporting the Microsoft 365 Cloud Suite in a large corporate or government environment.
  • Experience implementing, managing, and optimizing M365 solutions across enterprise organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Power Platform, Teams, Copilot, and AvePoint—including migrations, security, and governance.
  • Strong understanding of cross-functional collaboration with engineering, architecture, security, QA, and development teams.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate).
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Exchange, Intune, Azure AD, and Azure ecosystem integrations with M365.
  • Experience with M365 development and SharePoint Administration (site/tenant level).
  • Expertise in user permissions, compliance settings, DLP, role-based access, and retention policies.
  • Experience with Copilot for Power Apps, Copilot for Power Automate, and AI Builder.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for M365 and AvePoint Online Services.
  • Experience managing and resolving M365 IRWorks incident and task tickets (P1–P4).
  • Experience monitoring Dataverse environments, resource utilization, and performance.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Power Platform environments within the tenant.
  • Skilled in providing technical support for Copilot, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate issues.
  • Experience monitoring M365 services, ensuring alignment with data retention policies.
  • Extensive SharePoint Online administration experience, including permissions and integration.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining OneDrive tenant and backup solutions.
  • Ability to develop scripts to support OneDrive features, automation, and integration scenarios.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) required.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer
  • Experience developing reference materials (FAQs, knowledge articles, iTrain content).
  • Experience coordinating and conducting Proofs of Concept (POCs) and pilot testing for new or updated M365 / Power Platform capabilities.
