Technical Buyer
About The Position
As a Technical Buyer, you will identify and evaluate suppliers for technical products, negotiate terms, and manage relationships to secure the best quality, pricing, and availability. Your days will be filled with tracking supplier performance and monitoring expenditures, resolving any issues related to quality or delivery, and maintaining accurate procurement records. You will stay ahead of market trends and emerging technologies, ensuring Liberty Systems remains competitive. Collaboration will be a constant as you partner with engineering, operations, service, and sales teams to meet technical requirements and support business objectives. From creating RFQs and issuing purchase orders to analyzing data and adapting to evolving needs, you will play a critical role in driving our supply chain success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, business, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in procurement
- Experience with VMI and reporting using key performance indicators
- Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge and database experience
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of inventory management principles
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records
- Proactive communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and implement buying policies and procedures
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to analyze large, complex data sets and generate meaningful insights
- Adaptability and flexibility to changing business needs
- Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screening test.

- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (a plus)
