About The Position

They will be accountable for deliverables per the system development life cycle such as business requirements, functional requirements, traceability matrices, etc. They will lead a matrix team of project work stream leads, technical leads, architects, functional leads and delivery partners within a program or programs. They will focus on building strong partnerships and delivering strategic, operational and meaningful IT solutions. They will lead moderate to complex projects and/or program(s) and must have the ability to articulate complex technical problems and solutions to a wide business audience. As a member of the Clinical Development IT team, they will be responsible for gathering use cases and requirements in support of initial concepts and projects. They will work with stakeholders to ensure that the stakeholder needs are accurately captured and clear to create a best fit solution. They will define data flow and business process diagrams and research the potential use of existing tools internal & external to Biogen.

Requirements

• 5 years’ experience implementing complex, cross-functional projects solutions within established software development life cycle methodologies
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact with business users, technical IT g

Responsibilities

• Work with the IT Partner to establish a business partnership to ensure close collaboration between GCO/FERO/CTT and IT.
• Work with the IT Partner to translate business needs into an actionable IT Roadmap to support prioritization and solution proposals in line with shared processes, data harmonization, and architectural direction.
• Work with stakeholders to gather and validate use cases and requirements, both functional and non-functional process through best practices and work with the technical teams to develop technical requirements.
• Work with the technical teams to ensure that business requirements are understood so that plan, build and run can effectively deliver
• Support the vendor selection process with clear requirements for RFI/RFP’s
• Draws from past experiences to develop solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and innovation within the boundaries of industry compliance regulation. Identifies and recommends business process improvements
• Develop with team the necessary documentation for IT solutions projects - e.g. statement of work, project objectives & metrics, business requirements, use cases, storyboards, functional specifications, systems & end-user documentation.
• Serves as a "super user", trainer, and technical/functional software support expert during implementations and for prototypes & pilots; serve as an in-house expert and promoter for our application portfolio.
• Supports IT Partner to oversee GCO/FERO/CTT system(s) performance and service-level requirements are met
