DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee). The Impact You Will Have in This Role We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to act as a critical bridge between Technology and business/product teams, driving highly analytical, data-driven outcomes. In this role, you will translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements, ensuring solutions are accurate, complete, and aligned with regulatory, risk, and control expectations. You will partner closely with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality requirements and user stories that reduce defects and downstream risk, while using SQL and data analysis to validate assumptions, identify edge cases, and ensure solutions function end-to-end. This position sits within the Strategic Management & Governance organization and supports key initiatives including strategic change programs, new product development, process re-engineering, and enterprise technology modernization, with a strong emphasis on non-functional requirements, data integrity, and audit-ready documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
• Strong experience in business requirements analysis within complex, technology-driven environments
• Hands-on experience using SQL to analyze data, validate requirements, and derive business insights
• Proven ability to think end-to-end across systems and data, identifying gaps, edge cases, and risks early in delivery
• Comfortable working with complex datasets and translating analytical findings into clear, actionable outcomes
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with regulated environments, including audit, risk, and control frameworks

Responsibilities

• Leverage advanced SQL to perform end-to-end data analysis: validate business rules, reconcile data across systems, and surface anomalies/edge cases to prevent missed requirements.
• Develop and execute complex SQL queries to support requirement validation, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and testing outcomes (SIT/UAT).
• Translate business needs into clear, testable requirements, workflows, and end-to-end process impacts, ensuring data flow and system dependencies are fully understood.
• Create and maintain traceability between business requirements and JIRA epics/features/user stories, ensuring complete coverage from intake through delivery.
• Validate user stories against INVEST and Definition of Ready, partnering in agile ceremonies to ensure stories are actionable and acceptance criteria are data-verifiable.
• Own non-functional requirements (data integrity, controls, compliance, performance) and ensure they are captured across all system components.
• Communicate SQL/data findings and requirement decisions clearly to product, engineering, QA, and business stakeholders, maintaining audit-ready documentation and supporting risk/control needs
