About The Position

In the role of Technical Brewer working in Albany, GA you will be part of the Brewing team. You will be responsible for product taste profile for brewery under the Molson Coors Taste System (MCTS). Supports productivity, waste reduction - (Total Extract Loss and Work In Process), process optimization and technical development of brewing personnel. Is the communications liaison between Brewing Manager, Quality Manager and corporate brewing, quality and Technical and Packaging Services. Drives technology and processes advances. Supports equipment upgrades and replacement. This position reports to Sr. Manager Operations-Brewing

Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Brewing Technology, Biology, Microbiology or Food Science OR equivalent experience (5+ years) in the field of Brewing
  • You have at least 5-8 years experience in brewing
  • Knowledgeable in process control systems Delta V, BrewMaxx and MCMS
  • Must have a working knowledge of OSHA regulations, EEO practices/policies, HACCP, DOT regulations, Kosher Certification, brewery safety regulations, FDA guidelines for food plant operations, and environmental regulations regarding manufacturing brewery operations and a good understanding of corporate support and resources

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Brewing Science (e.g. Siebels, UC-Davis, Nottingham, IBD) preferred.
  • Masters of Science in Brewing and Distillation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and collaborates on brewing process continuous improvement
  • Facilitates action planning to address quality problems and trends in collaboration with brewing manager, unit manager, and specialist resources (i.e. Corp Brewing)
  • Mentors, supports, and coaches team members in the correct technical procedures for brewing
  • Ensures teams understand and adhere to the operational, quality and process standards (i.e. SOP’s, maintenance calibration schedules and performance targets including material usage standards)
