About The Position

The Technical Associate II in Biological Engineering will serve as a member of a cutting-edge research team advancing chemical synthesis, therapeutics, and vaccine development using synthetic nucleic acids. The role involves performing independent research and supporting DNA/RNA synthesis purification and conjugation using solid-phase, enzymatic, and organic chemistry techniques. The associate will conduct quantitative analysis via PCR, HPLC, electrophoresis, and mass spectrometry, and will be responsible for ordering lab supplies and reagents, coordinating lab operations, ensuring safety compliance, developing protocols, and maintaining equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field.
  • Minimum of four years' specialized lab experience in research or industry.
  • Expertise in solid-phase nucleic acid synthesis, purification, and biochemical analysis.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to plan, execute, and troubleshoot experiments independently.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining precise documentation.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving lab needs and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and occasionally work evenings or weekends.
