About The Position
NewsNation is currently seeking a creative, experienced and pro-active full-time Technical Assistant to join our team at the New York Bureau. As a Technical Assistant, you will work in different control room and studio positions with a focus on prompter.
Requirements
- Prior control room and studio experience in broadcast facilities.
- Excellent communication skills in a fast-paced environment are a must.
- Familiarity with ENPS.
- All day parts (mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays) may be a part of the schedule with overtime as situations demand.
- This is an IBEW position and membership is required.
Responsibilities
- Operate teleprompter using Cuescript software
- Ability to be flexible, adapt to changing speech patterns
- Multitask by listening to anchors and correspondents while taking cues from directors and producers
- Fill in on other control room and studio positions as needed
