About The Position

The Technical Area Manager (TAM) at OXE Marine Inc. is a full-time role focused on providing support and expertise in the marine service industry, particularly with diesel outboard engines. This position combines both administrative and practical responsibilities, requiring travel to meet customers across the USA Mid Atlantic region. The TAM will work closely with various departments, including Aftermarket, Engineering, and Sales, to ensure customer satisfaction and product quality. The role is dynamic, involving fieldwork, technical support, and internal communication, making each day unique and fulfilling.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience within the marine service industry or working with marine propulsion systems.
• Boat license.
• Preferably advanced mechanical/electrical background.
• Comprehensive understanding of marine ship systems and electrical systems.
• Service-minded and customer-oriented.
• Ability to work independently.
• Valid passport and documentation for international travel.

Nice To Haves

• Technical engineer or similar education background.
• Experience with common rail diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and implement routines and processes for product maintenance.
• Supervise warranty processes and document quality issues both internally and externally.
• Make qualified recommendations for product development.
• Monitor and follow up on the development and competence of distributors, dealers, and others within the network.
• Support dealers in technical matters and offer guidance.
• Represent the company professionally in any interaction, both internally and externally.
• Communicate information between the internal departments at OXE Marine.
• Assist in evaluation of dealers, providing them with a business plan to upgrade their OXE products, engine service, and maintenance.
