About The Position
This role seeks an experienced SQL Developer with strong SSAS expertise to support data-driven initiatives, primarily focused on building and maintaining a research data repository and related BI solutions. The position requires hands-on development, collaboration with stakeholders, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable data models, cubes, and reporting solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of development experience using BI tools such as Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Reporting Services (SSRS)
- 5+ years of experience with SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform
Responsibilities
- Interface with stakeholders and apply technical expertise throughout the full SDLC
- Deliver high-quality code and lead validation, testing, and implementation activities
- Design, develop, document, test, implement, and support data models, cubes, and reports
- Collaborate with business units to understand and analyze business processes
- Translate business needs into analytics and reporting requirements
- Track project progress and communicate status updates to project managers and team members
- Coordinate and oversee production deployments and rollouts
- Train and support end users on reporting tools, querying best practices, and cube usage
- Identify and recommend improvements to BI development processes and methodologies
- Research and resolve database-related issues, standards, and tools as needed
