As a part of a larger Data Engineering team, you are responsible for developing and managing high-performing, full stack team of software engineers to develop software using DEVOPS and Agile/Lean principles. You have a strong understanding of data infrastructure, data pipelines, data quality, data governance and master data management concepts and implementation. You will work with peers and team members to create and maintain great products that support the business vision, while looking for ways to further optimize the engineering and product development process. You will provide strong technical guidance, anticipate technical issues at the product level, and make architectural and design decisions to avoid them. What you will do: Own, build and maintain solutions and programs that are part of a data platform such as data governance, master data management, database and data analytics infrastructure. Provide management, coaching and mentorship to those who report to this role to maximize team health , product delivery, effectiveness , and career growth. Deliver and present solutions for large initiatives across multiple verticals. Design, develop scalable, high availability, high performance products with a deep understanding of front end and back-end architectures. Shape broad architecture; ships multiple large services, complex libraries, or major pieces of infrastructure. Directly a rchitect, design and deliver high-quality code and e nsure high standards of technical development are adhered by your team including observability, stability, scalability, security, performance, and cost effectiveness. Work with product team to estimate level of effort for projects and evaluate tradeoffs to ensure maximum impact with team resources.
