Looking for candidates that reside in San Antonio or Austin, Texas. The primary responsibilities of the Technical Application Specialist Chemistry/Immunoassay- (TAS) is to provide implementation services, Train-the-Trainer education, and troubleshooting on all Siemens Healthineers instrumentation and Data Management applications.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel within and outside the region more than 90% of the time, including Monday-Friday overnight travel.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • BA/BS preferably in Medical Technology.
  • Thorough technical knowledge of medical technology.
  • 2+ years of laboratory experience; prior field experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively handle customer problems.
  • Ability to prioritize critical customers and handle crisis customers first.
  • Computer literacy is mandatory (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong presentation and selling skills.
  • Alignment with the corporate Vision, Values and Beliefs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in growing our business by providing excellent customer support.
  • Act as the project coordinator of all installations to which they are assigned while efficiently performing system implementations and software upgrades.
  • Conduct customer training with minimal assistance by following established guidelines.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and identify potential 'at risk' customers.
  • Communicate effectively to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently and participate in escalations.
  • Assist in training other Technical Applications Specialists.
  • Travel outside of their region to assist in supporting other territories.
  • Assist with product demos and technical presentations by collaborating with Sales and Service peers.
  • Organize and participate in field-based customer education events.
  • Work in accordance with government regulations, FDA and OSHA.
  • Adhere to the Siemens Healthineers Quality System and enforce all company safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
