About The Position

The Technical Analyst I position at Staples is a vital role within the Digital Solutions team, focusing on providing technical support and infrastructure management for the Staples/360 Office Solutions warehouse and annex buildings in Billings, Montana. This role involves working with various technologies and vendors to ensure efficient operations of network systems, user support, and project assistance, contributing to the overall technology transformation at Staples.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with WAN, LAN, and Wireless technologies.
  • 3+ years' experience with Cisco routers and switches and Extreme Networks Wi-Fi.
  • 3+ years of personal computer experience: PC software/hardware, Windows 10, Apple/Mac.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and PC imaging & software deployment systems (SCCM).
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP LAN and WAN networks.
  • Good understanding of RF and security technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Avaya/Cisco IP-tel / VOIP experience.
  • Experience in supporting Distribution and Supply Chain/Warehousing infrastructure environments.
  • BS or BA degree in computer science, business administration or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the wired and wireless networks for Staples/360 Office Solutions warehouse and annex buildings in Billings, MT.
  • Provide day-to-day user support for PCs and printers.
  • Participate in project teams providing remote support for large projects outside of Montana.
  • Manage spare gear asset pool and ensure support maintenance licenses are updated.
  • Ensure compliance of network assets in ServiceNow and conduct annual audits for network diagrams.
  • Assist in the development and planning of annual Network, Printers, and PC refreshes for each site.
  • Install and configure network gear including Cisco routers and layer 2/3 switches.
  • Support local and remote associates' Windows 11 PCs and Apple Mac devices.
  • Adhere to Service Levels while working on support tickets in ServiceNow.
