This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions. Unit Position Summary This individual will work in the field collecting water/wastewater samples and in a BSL2 laboratory processing water samples including sewage samples for bacteria, fungi and viruses. This may include samples collection, processing including filtration and precipitation and analysis for PCR. Other procedures may include bacterial culture-based methods. Will be preparing reagents, decontaminating materials and will help with other techniques. A current driver's license is required due to sample collection responsibilities for the position.
