About The Position

Atlantic Medical Imaging is seeking a Per Diem Technical Aide to assist the MRI department in the Toms River-Route 37 West office location. This position is a great opportunity for Radiology School students and aspiring Technologists! AMI offers the 401K retirement benefit to Per Diem employees. Offered rates increase based on years of work experience. The Technical Aide is responsible for, but not limited to: Assists Technologists with patient preparation, positioning, and wheelchair transport to ensure timely and safe imaging procedures. Prepares charts and registers patients Supports workflow efficiency by coordinating patient flow and communicating with clinical staff. Greets patients and escorts patients to the changing area, providing gown instructions. Assists patients with dressing as needed. Takes patient history and processes paperwork. Monitors the patient in the clinical area when the Technologist is elsewhere; Safely enters and completes work responsibilities within the clinical area; When needed and assigned, reviews and scrubs schedules in advance to verify exam accuracy and support efficient imaging workflow. Schedules and reschedules when needed. Prepares imaging rooms between patients, ensuring infection control and safety standards are met. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the designated modality suites, including equipment and supply areas. Monitors and restocks medical and departmental supplies to support daily operations. Upholds patient confidentiality and always adhere to HIPAA regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a Per Diem position with a set schedule, based in the Toms River office location on Route 37 West. The work schedule includes: Week 1: 4pm-8pm on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday Week 2: 4pm-8pm on Tuesday & Thursday and 7:30am-4pm on Saturday Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.

Requirements

High School Graduate or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
An American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support certification is required and candidates must be willing to obtain within first thirty (30) days of employment.
Candidates must be willing and able to work around MRI equipment.
The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent organizational skills, has well developed customer service skills and maintains patient privacy at all times.
Candidates must maintain attention to detail in all aspects of their work at all times and must be skilled in utilizing standard office equipment, including computers.
Candidates should be flexible to work varying shift times and travel to other office locations if needed.

Nice To Haves

Previous radiology practice experience a plus.
