About The Position

The Technical Administrator role sits within the Gemini Technical Group, which is comprised of Laboratory, Color, and Quality Control departments. This role is responsible for a deep understanding of the Technical Department’s various software and how to use it for functional operations, process improvement, and document production. The Technical Administrator, as an independent contributor, is accountable for driving improvements with multi-functional partners and providing training for technical team members.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time (up to 6–8 hours per workday), with periodic breaks.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements for keyboarding, mouse use, and data entry.
  • Ability to view a computer monitor for prolonged periods, including reading small text and distinguishing visual details.
  • Ability to maintain a stationary posture while working at a desk or workstation.
  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach to retrieve files, office supplies, or equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry light objects (typically up to 10 pounds), such as documents, binders, or a laptop.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, including speaking clearly and hearing conversations in person or via phone/video conferencing.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, keyboards, mice, telephones, printers, and scanners.

Responsibilities

  • Works under limited supervision
  • Prioritize and adhere to all safety policies and regulations.
  • Utilize 5S principles.
  • Support business functions with data analytics and operations. This includes, but is not limited to, creating and modifying formulas, production and tint bill of materials, product creation and modification, product site creation, and quality control maintenance on formulas and manufactured goods.
  • Timely support for troubleshooting system errors and making recommendations to management on associated resolution.
  • Monthly lab audits to review data integrity and compliance.
  • Constant review of processes to enhance functionality and efficiency in the Lab and other areas as directed.
  • Document production includes but is not limited to items such as SDS, PDS, EDS, etc.
  • Occasionally train others on systems and methods utilized in the role.
