About The Position

The Technical Accounting Senior II is responsible for researching, interpreting and applying complex accounting standards and regulations. This role involves interpreting complex financial data, developing accounting policies, and providing guidance on technical accounting issues to internal stakeholders. By staying informed on industry developments and regulatory changes, the Technical Accounting Senior II helps the organization maintain transparency and integrity in its financial operations. This role will report to the Technical Accounting Manager.

Requirements

  • 5+ years accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Experience working for public companies and/or in fast paced environments.
  • Prior people management experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Oracle.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • CPA.
  • Auditing or financial reporting experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to adapt to ever-changing environment.
  • Prior experience with stock-based comp, debt, hedge, lease accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical research and document accounting conclusions for complex transactions.
  • Updating the equity awards process from documenting the award and its accounting implications all the way to how those awards are presented in the financials.
  • Implement process efficiencies and automation.
  • Liaise with auditors.
  • Assist on projects working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Compile and book journal entries, reconciliations and financial transactions.
