Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ability to research accounting guidance, establish a position, and develop processes and procedures for implementation
  • 5-7 years client-facing public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional accounting firm experience preferred)
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple departments across the organization
  • Experience mentoring and coaching other team members for technical accounting areas
  • High level of initiative and drive with a natural sense of ownership for projects and duties
  • Ability to work well on a team with collaboration and clear communication
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for credibility at all levels of the organization
  • Solid accounting, analytical, and research skills
  • Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders
  • Comfort working with multi-location companies
  • Workiva wDesk experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct deep-dive research to draft bulletproof technical accounting memos and policies.
  • Be the authority on non-revenue contracts, guiding the team on how to handle non-routine deals.
  • Provide a leading voice in developing and maintaining internal controls for external reporting.
  • Partner with FP&A and accounting to prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring flawless execution.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Manage the preparation of supporting documentation for all external reporting, tying out numbers with precision.
  • Monitor new accounting standards and regulatory changes, ensuring the company is always compliant.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial reporting processes.
