Howmet Aerospace is seeking an experienced Technical Account Manager to join our Engines Business Unit (BU), with a specific focus on our structural castings product. This role is pivotal in bridging the technical and commercial aspects of our operations, requiring a candidate with a solid technical or engineering background who is also interested in account management and relationship building. The position will be based in Cincinnati, OH, and will involve close coordination with manufacturing operations to leverage all Howmet Engines capabilities, particularly in structural casting products. In this role, you will be responsible for developing strong, trusting, and collaborative relationships with key customer contacts. Understanding the customer's organization, products, and markets is essential to identify their priorities, issues, and opportunities. This knowledge will enable you to position Howmet effectively to meet customer needs. You will also identify and prioritize business growth opportunities, utilizing Howmet's key products and technical capabilities. Your responsibilities will include managing and coordinating customer and internal processes, which encompass RFQ coordination with Howmet sites, aligning capabilities with specific customer needs, and overseeing business review preparations. This includes conducting detailed financial analyses, preparing internal presentations, and managing quote submissions and customer follow-ups. You will track and resolve open items with Howmet sites to meet customer requirements and mediate disputes effectively. Additionally, you will analyze customer scorecards, focusing on quality and delivery performance, and oversee concurrent engineering and joint customer cost reduction activities. Maintaining and developing customer contracts, terms, and conditions will also be part of your duties, including price and portfolio management, alloy elemental management activities, and tracking economic indices. Your collaborative and analytical approach will support the annual Budget/Long Range Plan process with our sites and customers, and you will assist in coordinating customer meetings and monitoring customer on-time pay performance as needed.
