About The Position

Come Join the Team! TECH - Nights 12HR SHIFTS located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, Ca. Reporting to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and/or designated supervisor, operates x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by the physician. Positions and instructs the patient for radiologic or fluoroscopic examinations. The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Requirements

  • ARDMS certification required.
  • RVT required within 12 months of hire.
  • Current BLS (CPR) certificate required.

Responsibilities

  • Operates x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by the physician.
  • Positions and instructs the patient for radiologic or fluoroscopic examinations.
  • Performs sonograms and assists the radiologist during biopsy and general/vascular sonography exams.
  • Performs all appropriate procedures in the computer as needed, including scheduling exams and proper charging of supplies.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Ability to perform general & vascular exams (arterial, carotids, etc.).
  • Follows physician’s orders and pulls related exams for doctor viewing.
  • Performs sonography studies in an operating room setting.
  • Ensures universal protocols are completed on all patients by utilizing 'two identifiers' per TJC NPSG standard.
  • Verbalizes and demonstrates HIPAA compliance and all safety practices as supported by organizational policy and procedure.
