THE ROLE Reporting to the Venue Technology Manager, the Tech Training Specialist (Part Time) is primarily responsible for training front-line staff in the use and practices of point-of-sale devices during events. This position will be vital in ensuring consistent and accurate transactions, which may include card payments, Bucs App Krewe cash payments, and any applicable discounts and special promotions.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills; effectively influence others, the ability to make decisions quickly, and exhibit a high-level of maturity.
  • Previous experience in training in both one-on-one and group settings.
  • Experience with POS systems, preferably Clover Sport
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; proven ability to organize, manage, and complete multiple tasks in an efficient and timely fashion; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff
  • Must be able to adapt to environment changes immediately
  • Availability open to event-based schedule, including late hours and weekends
  • Basic understanding of PCI risk and compliance preferred
  • Ability to be on feet and walk long distances
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
  • Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.

Responsibilities

  • Train operators in the use of P.O.S. devices before and during events.
  • Monitor stands for consistency of operations during events.
  • Assist operators with any questions on how to correctly complete a transaction.
  • Ensure that guests are receiving the best possible experience and are satisfied with their visit.
  • Assess and prioritize issues and requests accordingly to minimize operational impact.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the organization and adhere to all standards and practices.
  • Initiate and implement improvements to areas of responsibility.
  • Performing additional related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required.
