Stocks clinical departments with medical supplies and equipment and distributes supplies to all hospital departments. Operates the inventory computer, monitors issues/charges and equipment locations. Delivers mail, records and supplies to off-site facilities and physician offices. Performs equipment cleaning procedures as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED desired.
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Ability to communicate with staff
  • Ability to cope with and remain calm under stress
  • Ability to tolerate moderate noise levels for prolonged periods
  • Ability to respond to telephones and other auditory stimulation
  • Ability to discriminate color
  • Bending and lifting (0-50 lbs), grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling (up to 100 pounds) and prolonged standing and or/sitting
  • Basic mathematical computations

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hospital or supply experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receives shipments from vendors or freight lines.
  • Stocks supply lockers.
  • Distributes supplies and equipment to all hospital departments.
  • Processes and maintains paperwork for receiving and inventory.
  • Tracks patient-care equipment.
  • Monitors expiration dates and stocks shelves.
  • Communicates with hospital staff regarding shipments, supplies and equipment.
  • Delivers to off-site facilities and physician offices.
  • Performs equipment cleaning procedures as necessary.
