About The Position

As our Specialty Technician, Cath Lab, you will perform quality patient care in collaboration with the Physician and Registered Nurse during all cardiac and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures and electrophysiology studies. Every day, you will assist in all duties related to catheterization lab procedures under the general direction of the invasive cardiologist. You will be primarily responsible for radiographic equipment, radiographs, and related imaging and archiving, ensuring precise documentation. You will participate as a surgical scrub tech as necessary, and monitor and process hemodynamic data. You will consistently perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization, utilizing professional and hospital standards of care and practice to guide patient care. To be successful in this role, you will possess a relevant technical certification or licensure with specialized experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab. You will demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency in operating radiographic equipment, meticulous attention to detail in imaging, data monitoring, and sterile technique, and strong collaboration skills. Individual Performance Meets annual competency requirement prior to evaluation date. Applies clinical knowledge and expertise for coordinating patient care by assisting nursing staff to access paint condition. Responsible for patients in the adult critical care population with an age range of 14 years and older receiving care in the Cath Lab. Coordinates plan of care with other members of the cath team to achieve quality patient care. Demonstrates accurate written and verbal documentation of patient status information.

Requirements

  • Minimal education as required for certification and registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT

Nice To Haves

  • Two years experience in a CatheterizationLaboratory preferred
