Kids In Tech is seeking a part-time Tech Program Instructor to lead hands-on STEM sessions for students ages 8 - 14. In this role, earning $17.55 - $28.50/hour , you will implement our structured curriculum, foster a positive learning environment, and serve as a mentor for young learners. THE GROWTH YOU HELP PROVIDE AS A TECH PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR This part-time position follows the school calendar, running from October 2024 to June 2025. The instructor will work a minimum of two days per week at partner sites during active program weeks, with additional time required for lesson preparation, data management, and team meetings. As a part-time Tech Program Instructor, you will lead two cohorts of up to 15 students, meeting twice weekly for structured, 60-minute sessions. You will implement the Kids In Tech curriculum, preparing materials to facilitate engaging, hands-on STEM learning experiences. In this role, you will mentor students, demonstrating how STEM concepts apply to both everyday life and future career paths. Creating a supportive and encouraging classroom environment will be essential to fostering student engagement. Add itionally, you will maintain ongoing communication with families through monthly outreach efforts, collaborate with partner sites to align lesson plans with their educational goals, and organize field trips, job shadowing experiences, and guest speaker sessions to provide real-world STEM exposure. Tracking student progress by collecting and entering data will also be a key responsibility.
