About The Position

This is a Per Diem shift position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA. Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services, the Operating Room Technician has 8 hour accountability for the safe care of patients in the Operating Suites. Working in a team effort with the circulating nurse to provide specialized care. Scrubs in on surgical cases and is responsible for maintaining sterile techniques. Must possess thorough knowledge of instrument usage and care. May transport patients and be required to put away equipment.

Requirements

• Operating Room Technician Certification required.
• Current BLS (CPR) required through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the safe care of patients in the Operating Suites.
• Work in a team effort with the circulating nurse to provide specialized care.
• Scrub in on surgical cases and maintain sterile techniques.
• Possess thorough knowledge of instrument usage and care.
• Transport patients as needed.
• Put away equipment after use.
