AWS Supply Chain is seeking a highly effective candidate to design and implement innovative solutions that deliver the best operating and lowest cost infrastructure in the world. This individual will manage the relationship with one or more of AWS’s most strategic server development and manufacturing partners. As the operational lead of this relationship, you own cost, performance, contracting and strategy. You will influence and partner with cross functional teams including hardware engineering, supply chain, quality, lifecycle management, operations, compliance and sustainability. A successful candidate will combine a strong knowledge of computer hardware with a proven ability to manage complex engineering workflows to meet the desired rack build plan in our data centers. Responsibilities

  • Lead and orchestrate the end-to-end strategic partnership with vendors providing critical design, development, manufacturing, and integration services for AWS servers and server rack integration.
  • As a principal support for manufacturing, you will lead and help your vendor drive holistic supplier performance optimization across cost, quality, capacity, delivery, compliance, sustainability, and overarching supply strategy.
  • This role requires exceptional leadership in delivering detailed plans to execute complex rack build deployments.
  • You will collaborate with with cross-functional teams to direct the flow of materials, testing scripts and BOM deployment at the site.
  • You will spearhead the development and implementation of innovative sourcing strategies that not only meet but exceed AWS's ambitious cost objectives through in-depth analysis of cost drivers and bill of materials.
  • Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and leveraging emerging industry trends to shape supplier product roadmaps that align with AWS's long-term technical vision and manufacturing initiatives.
  • As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will craft compelling data-driven narratives and presentations that inform strategic decision-making, highlighting business status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Your role extends to managing high-stakes vendor escalations, providing executive-level updates, and conducting comprehensive business reviews focused on procurement excellence and supply chain resilience.
  • This position demands a leader capable of balancing tactical execution with strategic foresight, driving transformational change in AWS's supplier ecosystem while fostering sustainable, mutually beneficial partnerships.
