About The Position

Manage data center infrastructure construction projects, focusing on initiatives that increase facility resiliency. Interface with general contractors throughout the project lifecycle, from bidding through closeout. Lead negotiations with general contractors and evaluate their proposals with rigorous attention to detail. Create comprehensive construction project scopes and requests for proposals. Analyze construction financials and manage project budgets. Review electrical and mechanical designs for constructability to optimize new and existing data centers. Manage construction documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and invoices. Monitor and report key construction metrics to stakeholders. Drive root-cause analysis when equipment failures occur. Lead both internal teams and external partners in supporting data center operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and four years of experience in the job offered or as a construction manager or a related occupation.
  • Must have four years of experience in the following skills: (1) construction management for large-scale mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) plants; (2) general contractor and vendor management, including request for proposals, bidding, change orders, quality control, and RFI/submittal tracking; (3) constructing electrical engineering systems including large-scale power distribution/generation gear; and (4) constructing mechanical engineering systems including cooling systems.
