Requirements

Successfully completed an accredited educational program for surgical technologists and holds and maintains certification as a surgical technologist by: The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting; or The National Center for Competency Testing; or has completed an appropriate training program for surgical technology through the United States Military Services or in the United States Public Health Services; or Consistant employment as a Surgical Technologist beginning before Sept. 1, 2009.
2 years experience as a CV Surgical Tech required

Nice To Haves

5 years preferred
Vein harvesting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and operative technique related to the operative procedures.
Ability to apply principles and asepsis and infection control.
Ability to perform effectively in stressful and emergency situations.
Ability to recognize safety hazards and initiate appropriate, preventive, and corrective action.
Care, use, and proper maintenance of all surgical instrumentation and equipment needed to perform CV surgeries/procedures.
