About The Position

The Mental Health Technician position is a PRN/As Needed role that involves providing quality nursing services to patients in a behavioral health hospital. The technician is responsible for maintaining patient cleanliness, assisting with daily living skills, and delivering care in a fast-paced environment. The role requires effective communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to interact positively with patients, families, and other staff members. The technician must also be able to recognize and report changes in patient behavior, exercise good judgment, and manage patients physically when necessary. The hours for this position may vary based on staffing needs and can include day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in a behavioral health or hospital setting, or a combination of education and related experience.
