About The Position

You will own the overall technical direction of the platform. You make the architectural decisions, set up the cloud infrastructure, define API contracts, hire the rest of the founding team, and ensure the MVP ships in 30 days. You are the person who must be hired first — everyone else builds on the foundation you set. You think in terms of multi-tenancy, data isolation, and scale from Day 1, even while the first sprint focuses on a single client.

Requirements

  • 8+ years production engineering; 3+ years as a technical lead or architect.
  • Experience building multi-tenant platforms with data isolation requirements.
  • Deep familiarity with distributed systems: Kafka, Kubernetes, microservices, real-time streaming.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and serving large language models in production.
  • Cloud-native architecture. Terraform mandatory.
  • Strong written communication — you can articulate technical decisions to engineers and business stakeholders alike.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience building fintech, financial data, or crypto infrastructure platforms.
  • Experience with tenant isolation patterns: namespace isolation, per-tenant encryption, row-level security.
  • Experience with 24/7 systems (crypto, gaming, global SaaS).

Responsibilities

  • Design the platform architecture with multi-tenant data isolation as a core constraint: per-client storage, per-client model serving, shared public data layer.
  • Set up cloud infrastructure in Week 1: VPC, Kubernetes, GPU-backed model serving, event streaming, storage — all as Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Define API contracts between all components so the team can work in parallel from Day 1.
  • Own build-vs-buy decisions, biased toward managed services in Phase 1 to reduce ops burden.
  • Run daily standups. Own the delivery timeline. Unblock the team. Ship in 30 days.
  • Architect the AI context layer: per-tenant prompt versioning, per-tenant exemplar libraries, shared and tenant-specific RAG corpora.
  • Design the custom model workflow: how client feedback becomes training data, how models are trained in isolated environments, how custom models are served alongside the base model.
  • Hire and onboard the remaining founding team members.
