About The Position

The Server Repair Tech will be responsible for testing, trouble shooting, and replacement of parts on servers sent to SMS for diagnosis and repair. This role involves daily tasks such as inspecting, testing, and diagnosing servers, replacing parts as needed, conducting and analyzing server stress tests, and documenting all symptoms, test results, and parts replaced in a shop floor tool. The tech will collaborate with motherboard repair, motherboard testing, QC, and inspections personnel, and provide backup for these functions. Maintaining parts consumption and following processes for system and parts management are also key. Beyond technical duties, the role requires maintaining a positive work environment and collaborating with other teams such as warehouse, shipping, and receiving. The ideal candidate will possess basic server and networking architecture knowledge, troubleshooting skills for common server errors, and a motivation for problem-solving and continuous learning.

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Demonstrated skill set while working with Temp Agency
  • Ability to clearly organize and categorize work priorities to complete assigned tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to read and follow written instructions and ideas
  • Repeated and coordinated use of your hands, wrists, and fingers to use a computer keyboard, and other small handheld tools

Nice To Haves

  • 1-year experience in Repair Depot
  • Worked in a low production PC type environment
  • Working knowledge of different models such as ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, Apple, and Acer etc.

Responsibilities
