The AWS Network Design and Deployment Team (NIDD) team is searching for a
passionate and talented Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to drive
Data Center and Network Capacity planning in N. America. You will assess the
demand requirements along with available network resources to determine and
drive prime solutions for our customers. You will work with stakeholders to
complete pre-requisites necessary to deliver critical networking capacity. You
will lead programs with goals to improve infrastructure resource utilization and
availability. You will work with teams across the ADC Organization to
effectively plan and deliver data center capacity.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and obtain
and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a discipline that requires problem-solving, typically Engineering, Physics, Finance, Business or equivalent professional experience
• 1+ years of technical program management experience
• Knowledge of MS-Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Supply Chain Management
• Experience in project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure
• Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams and standard operating procedures
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA
• Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations, with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure
• Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains

Responsibilities

• Monitor the network health, customer demand, anticipate risks, resolve issues and initiate corrective action as appropriate.
• Work with stakeholders (networking engineers/tech program managers/senior management) to define requirements and processes.
• Manage the dependencies and the interfaces between projects and negotiate the trade-offs needed.
• Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis.
• End to end responsibility for the program’s execution and success.
• Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously.
• Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvement/automated solutions.
• Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
