Essential Job Functions: Work from work orders, standard operating procedures and instructions: Review production run with previous shift to determine unusual conditions, equipment functioning and production levels. Monitor molding equipment and robotics to ensure quality standards met and production cycle time maintained. Troubleshoot production or quality problems such as excess flash, discoloration or short fills, make necessary adjustments to materials or equipment settings and notify Team Leader of situation. Perform changeovers and set ups: change die, set programming to control robotics and set speeds. Clean molds as needed. Communicate with machine and mold maintenance departments daily to keep repairs and preventive maintenance up-to-date. Fill out maintenance work orders to initiate necessary repairs. Complete required production and inspection reports. Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition. Perform hourly inspections of all production runs which include visual and dimensional inspections. Perform other duties as assigned. Exercise judgment to troubleshoot production and quality problems, within the limitations of standard methods and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Complete RJG or equivalent training
  • Over 7 and up to 10 years of mold technician experience is required.
  • Experience with the hand tools is required.
  • Proper set up of automated equipment programming.
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
  • Communication skills: Written and Oral
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.

  • The pay range for this position Process Tech II is $28.70 - $40.26 plus applicable shift differential.
  • However, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
  • This position is also eligible for a bonus depending on company performance.
