About The Position

The Tech II, Audio position at NBC Universal is responsible for overseeing technical operations within an assigned entertainment venue or event, ensuring high show quality and a positive guest experience. This role involves acting as a crew chief, managing team members, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational policies.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED is required.
• Technical school is preferred.
• Associate's degree (AA) is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• One to three years of experience within the assigned technical discipline is required.
• Prior experience in the professional theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with electrical, mechanical, special effects, or pyrotechnics.

Responsibilities

• Function as the discipline specific crew chief assigned to an Entertainment Venue or Event.
• Assist in managing proper breaks and ensure lunches are taken by crew members.
• Monitor and enforce all policies and procedures for the safe operation of technical equipment.
• Facilitate and troubleshoot tasks with accountability for team objectives from Leads/Supervisor.
• Accomplish tasks as directed by Lead/Supervisor with minimal supervision.
• Assist Technician I with daily maintenance of the Entertainment Venue/Event to ensure all technical equipment is operational.
• Implement show quality and performance standards as defined by Entertainment Management.
• Effectively communicate necessary information regarding technical operations to management and employees.
• Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
