About The Position

Insituform Technologies LLC, an Azuria Company, is looking for an experienced Tech Fleet O&M Specialist. Insituform is a leading worldwide provider of cured-in place pipe (CIPP) and other technologies and services for the rehabilitation of pipeline systems. Insituform’s businesses consist of sewer, drinking water and energy and mining pipeline rehabilitation and protection. The Company provides cost-effective solutions to remediate operational, health, regulatory and environmental problems resulting from aging and defective pipelines. Position Summary The Tech Fleet O&M Specialist is responsible for providing expert technical support and guidance for the operation and maintenance of our fleet technical equipment. This role ensures optimal fleet performance, reliability, and safety through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The specialist will work closely with fleet technicians, operations personnel, and equipment managers to ensure all fleet technical equipment is maintained and working. The Tech Fleet O&M Specialist will work with new-hire operators, experienced field crews, to ensure safe, consistent, standard-compliant execution of work. Much of the training is delivered in the field; 75% travel should be expected.

Requirements

  • 5 + years progressive field experience in sewer cleaning, CCTV inspection, manhole rehab, or chemical grouting (lead-operator or foreman level).
  • BS degree or equivalent preferably in Construction Management or Engineering or a related field
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in construction field management.
  • Previous experience in a water/sewer or municipal environment as needed.
  • Demonstrated expertise with jet/vac units, lateral launch & mainline CCTV systems, packer-type joint testers, dual-component grout pumps, and spray/centrifugal manhole lining equipment.
  • Current NASSCO PACP certification; ITCP-Manhole Rehab or Grouting Safe Practices certificate (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • OSHA 10-Hr Construction Safety; Confined Space Entry; valid Class B CDL with tanker endorsement preferred.
  • Strong presentation, coaching, and report-writing skills; comfortable using inspection & LMS software (CUES GraniteNet, WinCan or similar).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces and varied weather, and travel extensively (up to 70 %).
  • Leadership Skills: Must have strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and empower others. In addition, must be a strong communicator and be able to take the initiative to function without day-to-day guidance. Needs to identify what must be done and then do it.
  • Computer Skills: Must have solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, JD Edwards and similar software systems.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret very complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to highly sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, customers and public groups.
  • Mathematical Skills: Clear understanding of managerial financial information, plus familiarity with “percent of cost” accounting system. Ability to work with mathematical concepts and calculate business related metrics, solid knowledge of finances and profit and loss statements and balance sheet calculations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • NASSCO-Certified Trainer status in PACP/MACP or ITCP programs.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to fleet technical equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Provide technical assistance to fleet technicians and operations personnel, both on-site and remotely.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and analyze faults.
  • Implement effective troubleshooting procedures.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure technical equipment is running at optimal levels.
  • Ensure all maintenance records are accurately documented and maintained.
  • Evaluate fleet performance and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Monitor and report on fleet performance metrics.
  • Deliver technical training programs for fleet technicians and operations personnel.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians.
