Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- EMT-P required
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
Responsibilities
- Takes direction from RN or physician to maintain high standard of patient care.
- Provides emergency care to patients in the ER by monitoring the patients’ vitals.
- Assists with emergency medical processes, such as dressing wounds and administering stitches.
- Takes medical samples from patients, such as blood or urine.
- Cleans and stocks carts, rooms, and changes linen, as required.
- Decontaminates all equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Assists with transport of patients to other departments.
