HOW A Tech Control Facility Technician II WILL MAKE AN IMPACT ● Fabricates, installs, maintains, and repairs electronic, mechanical, and/or other types of components and equipment. ● Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment. ● May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals. ● Provides advice and a range of onsite training for customer support personnel. The contractor is expected to have, but is not limited to, the following IT certificate: • Security+ • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching or Service Provider GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Intermediate “hands on” work experience in support of installations, repair, and troubleshooting or maintenance of communications systems or equipment. Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Intermediate experience in maintenance/troubleshooting of Tech Control Facility equipment as specified in the task order to include the following: • NET Promina equipment • KG, KY, KIV and ancillaries • CISCO Routers/Switches • Patch panels/maintenance panels • Fiber optic modems and interface cards #DefenseOCONUS #GDITPriority

Requirements

  • Intermediate “hands on” work experience in support of installations, repair, and troubleshooting or maintenance of communications systems or equipment.
  • Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment.
  • Security Clearance Level: SECRET
  • Must meet the certification requirement of DoD 8570.01-M or otherwise stated in SPIN-C or individual task order.
  • Security+
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing & Switching or Service Provider
  • US Citizenship Required (for clearance)

Nice To Haves

  • Associates of Arts/Associates of Science
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Intermediate experience in maintenance/troubleshooting of Tech Control Facility equipment as specified in the task order to include the following:
  • NET Promina equipment
  • KG, KY, KIV and ancillaries
  • CISCO Routers/Switches
  • Patch panels/maintenance panels
  • Fiber optic modems and interface cards
