The manager is looking for a scheduler. Two (2) to four (4) years of recent scheduling experience in PT/CT, Angio, CT, US, MRI, and X-ray is required. Job Duties: 1. Under direct supervision, uses the PACS system to transmit and print/burn CDs of patient imaging studies, transports and assists patients, assists in lifting and moving patients, filing x-ray jackets. 2. Performs routine clerical duties such as preparing charts for Interventional procedures, obtaining pertinent information including patient demographics and financial data, and entering it into the computer, and provides necessary patient preparation for procedures. 3. Works with Radiologists and Nurses to schedule interventional cases. 4. Prepares and processes initial paperwork and identification bands. 5. Schedules exams for multiple modalities (PT/CT, CT, MRI, NM, US, Angio, X-ray, Mammo). 6. Phone voice must be friendly and professional. 7. Obtains authorizations, provides necessary billing codes for the physician's office, and assesses medical necessity for Medicare patients. 8. Obtains required signatures and collects a copy of insurance, Medicare, and medical cards. 9. Follows regulations for Medicare Secondary Payer and the three-day rule. 10. Should be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit. 11. Performs any combination of the following duties depending on the area of assignment. Performs other duties as assigned.
