About The Position

Join an energetic, patient-focused team! Heartland Imaging is currently seeking an experienced Tech Assistant for a PRN position at our outpatient imaging centers located in Louisville, KY. JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director and/or the Technologist, the Technologist Assistant: Is responsible for supporting the radiology staff and providing the first clinical point of contact for patients. Facilitates the patient flow to minimize patient wait times and maximize the utilization of resources. Demonstrates competence with all imaging safety compliance initiatives. Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. Heartland Imaging offers a full range of diagnostic and screening radiology services. Requirements

  • One year as a trained Phlebotomist and/or Medical Assistant experience required.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to work efficiently as an extension of certified/registered staff or licensed independent practitioner.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
  • Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
