About The Position
UConn Health Imaging is seeking a Tech Assistant to join our patient-focused team! Position Status: part-time flex (20-30 hours/week) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM Location: outpatient imaging center located in Farmington, CT This position will assist our Technologists, primarily the MRI Department JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director and/or the Technologist, the Technologist Assistant: Is responsible for supporting the radiology staff and providing the first clinical point of contact for patients. Facilitates the patient flow to minimize patient wait times and maximize the utilization of resources. Demonstrates competence with all imaging safety compliance initiatives. Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- medical terminology preferred, study registered rad program.
- radiology experience.
- BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
