The anesthesia technician will assist with the placement of invasive catheters and preparation of the patient for induction and transport under the direction of the Anesthesiologist, CRNA and/or RN.

Requirements

  • Requires the ability to respond to call within 30 minutes.
  • Reading and numerical competency.
  • Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting.
  • ASATT certification within 6 months recommended
  • Able to read and write on 12th grade level.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical and clinical support to Anesthesiologists and Nurse Anesthetists by ensuring availability and proper functioning of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
