About The Position

This role is responsible for delivering expert technical support to producers caring for company-owned poultry, ensuring optimal bird welfare and comfort. Key responsibilities include advising producers on building and equipment specifications, litter management, and farm sanitation practices. The position involves conducting farm visits to assess and document bird comfort, flock management, and equipment settings, as well as monitoring bird health and implementing remedies when necessary. Additional duties include tracking feed consumption, coordinating feed orders, timely collection of blood and fat samples, and managing chick placements and catch schedules. This role serves as a vital communication link between hatchery, feed mill, and live haul teams to ensure seamless operations across contract farms. The incumbent ensures compliance with production contracts and all USDA and government regulations, aiming to produce high-quality flocks with optimal performance and cost efficiency. Collaboration with Broiler and Breeder Departments to coordinate weekly chick placements and other related responsibilities is also expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, including email communication, data entry into templates, and simple query creation
  • Occasional travel required (1 to 5 trips annually)
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend work
