The Technician A (ELEC/MECH area) performs skilled laboratory work under the limited supervision of senior technical personnel. With limited supervision, performs cleaning, maintenance, and/or calibration of laboratory and equipment requiring highly skilled knowledge. With adequate training and limited supervision, performs work of an essentially repetitive nature for production of deliverable hardware. Such work shall involve complex manual skills and the operation of complex automated or semi-automated equipment. With limited supervision, carefully documents their own work consistent with work unit policy in hand-written form or using common computer-based software. At the discretion of the supervisor performs focused training to enable progression into higher skilled positions.
