Description Detailed Description: · Trouble shoot and diagnose the problem of equipment brought to the maintenance shop · Assemble and disassemble directional motors, and other oilfield drilling components · Perform all tests and repair in strict compliance with the manufacturer’s service manual and bulletins · Quality control of parts to determine whether they need to be repaired or replaced · List parts to be replaced referring to the manufacturer’s manuals and diagrams · Look up all necessary repair parts and order them as needed · Document inspections, test results, repair work done and parts replaced for proper billing and record upkeep · Ensure the yard and shop spaces are clean and organized · Ensure that all equipment is clean and in good working order · Safely operate forklift to move equipment around the yard · Participate in all required meetings, training and development activities · Ability to communicate, including ability to read, write, and speak English and to promptly follow verbal and written directions in English. · Performs other related duties as assigned The Motor Shop Technician must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. The typical work environment will be in the shop and yard which will require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, working near moving mechanical parts, electrical energy, construction equipment, vibration, fumes, chemicals and airborne particles.
