About The Position

Position Overview The Tech 1, Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) role is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and operational reliability of the instrumentation and controls that support facility-wide equipment, and facility systems through effective Corrective and Preventive (CAPA) Maintenance and Calibration practices and know-how. Two Openings Job Description What You'll Do Performs general instrumentation and controls troubleshooting, repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance to all site equipment, systems, process measurement and control, utility, laboratory, and bench-top instrumentation Performs calibrations to instrumentation and controls Follows standard procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) quality standards Performs loop checks for new instrumentation to ensure proper functionality Assists and performs lock out tag out (LOTO) as required to complete I&C/Metrology activities Adheres to all safety requirements and follows safe work practices Notifies management or Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) when unsafe conditions or hazards are found Attends all required and safety and health training Supports site operations and emergency work orders during off-hours, as needed Performs spare parts assessments, as required Performs other duties, as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1-2 years of I&C experience
  • Experience with tools and equipment used to perform maintenance work
  • Knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical systems
  • Effective communication, both written and oral
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to support 24/7 manufacturing facility, including shift, on-call and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field
  • Prior I&C experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or other regulated environment
  • Experience with troubleshooting instrumentation and controls
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS), such as ProCalV5, Blue Mountain, Maximo, Infor EAM, etc.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office or other computer software

Responsibilities
