About The Position

The Tech 1 Electronic NEX performs regular and scheduled maintenance on hydraulic fracturing equipment to ensure it remains in good working order. This role involves conducting repairs on equipment as needed in the field using hand and power tools, as well as installing and configuring electronic and electromechanical equipment and instrumentation. Responsibilities also include assembling, installing, or repairing wiring, electrical, and electronic components, and traveling to locations for emergency repairs. The technician diagnoses electrical problems and troubleshoots using various technical documents, inspects, operates, and tests equipment to diagnose malfunctions, and ensures equipment meets company standards before field deployment. Documentation of all repairs, inspections, and testing is required. The position emphasizes maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to all QHSE requirements, and mentoring and training less experienced Electronic Technicians. The Field Electronic Technician 1 plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability and safety of electronic and hydraulic fracturing equipment, requiring technical expertise, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • Proficient use of electronic test instruments and tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of instrumentation such as flow meters, transducers, densimeters, and controllers.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in using OEM software for configuring and troubleshooting related equipment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic applications controlled by electronic components and systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics/drawings.
  • Knowledge of data transmission protocols and equipment networking.
  • Familiarity with radio communications.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety manuals, operations instructions, and policies/procedures.
  • Ability to write reports, simple correspondence, and effectively present information to coworkers, customers, and management.
  • Skilled in reading blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting components.
  • Understanding of basic electrical theory and circuit principles.
  • Works effectively in a positive team environment.
  • Promotes safety awareness and follows quality, health, safety, and environment policies and procedures.
  • Must understand and speak English at a level sufficient to issue, receive, and respond to both safety and operations-related directions.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 3-4 years.

  • Maintains a safe work environment, adhering to all QHSE requirements at all times.
  • Mentors and trains less experienced Electronic Technicians.
  • Performs other related duties as requested.
